THe skirmish at Pitts Point is the one Im talkin bout the fought there and at a neighboring town on the Railroad tracks. The Confederate Kentucky State Guard unit that fought them was the Salt River Rangers a company from Pitt's Point its the only time I know of that the Confederate State Guard actually was involved in a Battle now the Union Home Guard were involved in several battles but the State Guard most of them went off to fight in the Orphan Brigade before the actual CIvil War began.
