Re: Albert Sidney Johnston

I'm looking for information on General Albert Sidney Johnston's relations who settled in Alabama and would be grateful for any assistance you can provide.
My grandmother, Esther Johnston (maiden name), passed away earlier today. She was a loving woman, adored by the grandchildren and great-grand children she left behind, a few months after her 96th birthday.
My grandmother's father (and my Great Grandfather) was named Albert Sidney Johnston. I don't know very much about him except the fact that he lived in northern Alabama. The only person now living who remembers him is his son, James Johnston, who currently lives in Mobile. James Johnston is Esther's younger brother and my great uncle. James Johnston recalls that his father, Albert Sidney Johnston, spoke often of his respect for General Albert Sidney Johnston, his namesake. My aging Great Uncle isn't sure but he believes the General was his Great Grandfather and he understands his father was named after his own Grandfather, the General.
I've combed through a number of sites on the web but haven't been able to find much information on the General's relatives other than his two wives and children. In short, I'd trying to figure out if my maternal Great Grandfather, Albert Sidney Johnston, was the General's grandson through Colonel William Preston Johnston, who also fought for the confederacy.
Any information readers can provide would be greatly appreciated.
