Re: Fields Partisan Rangers

Daniel Blevins was brother to my greatgreatgrandmother Susan Blevins Osborn. He recruited for the first Co K unit of the KY. 5th CSA and from what I have read here later was with Fields Rangers. He recruited his brother in law Andrew Osborn of Flat Gap in Johnson County, Ky for the Co. K. Later on, after the war, he moved to Arkansas, taking his father (William) and mother Ava) with him. He died between 1916-1918 and is buried beside his wife Nancy Jane Osburn Blevins near Talequah, Oklahoma. He and his family can be found in the 1870 census of White River Township, Washington Co., Ark and 1880 census of Valley Township, Madison County, Ark.. In 1878 he was elected justice of the peace. This info from a book "An Osburn Family" by Josie Walker Blakey. Some family and some in laws had moved there before the war. Susan, his sister, remained in Johnson County, Ky as a widow after the war. It is believed her husband Andrew Osborn was killed during the war, possibly in 1864. He was not a member of the 5th at that time, having mustered out in 1862. He was, it is believed, a member of either Sid Cook's Partisan rangers or Field's group at the time of his death. I cannot find out. If anyone has any info, please help me. Thanks,
