Thank you for your imput. I was just trying to figure out if the 12 month 5th KY was on their way somewhere or this was where they were to be stationed. Humphrey Marshall's regiment was initially recruited to defend Eastern Kentucky, and guard against attack from Pound Gap, which was the way into Kentucky from Viginia through the mountains.
