My gg grandfather, William Scranton, died in Brown General Hospital, Louisville, on July 24, 1865. The death notice signed by the Assistant Surgeon general was in the widow's pension file. He was in the Wisconsin 16 Infantry, Co. B. I have been unable to locate him: Roll of Honor, cemetery search, Wisconsin file, pension file, compiled miltary file, etc. Does anyone know how to locate the records of Brown Gen'l Hospital?
