Hello:
I am looking for interesting women that any of you may know about that served in some capacity, whether civilian, military, or as a nurse during the War of the Rebellion.I am not looking for the ladies that are commonly read about and talked about. I am looking for ladies that you might have heard about and can verify their story that may have been passed down through generations, etc. I am looking for the women who fought for Kentucky or in the guerilla wars in that area or West Virginia. If anyone knows of young ladies, girls, or women who have done something extraordinary for Kentucky or the Confederacy or Union that have not been recognized, please let me hear about her.
