Glenn,

Thank you, and God Bless you. Thank you for still caring. I got hurt about five months after I posted that, at the end of the Fallujah operation. I was medically dicharged a few months later in 2005. I had to re-write almost everything that I had finished on the book, because alot was lost. But I am almost finished, and "Blood on the Bluegrass:The Battle of Richmond, Kentucky", should be ready to print in the next 4-6 weeks. As for your question,
I'll check my records for Pvt.Carroll for another uni, but the 5th Tenn Cav was not at Richmond. Col.James W.Starnes' 4th Tenn Cav was there, as well as alot of Tenn Infantry units. Are you certain that he was in Co.H of the 5th? If you want, email me at infidelgrunt@yahoo.com, and I'll help you hunt James Carroll down, and find out where he was KIA or WIA at. Take care.

Sincerely,

Michael J.Gabbard
