Re: Four Wilson CSA Enlistments

JR,

Thanks for the reply. Are you chasing Wilson issues also or only answering posted inquires?
If yes to the Wilson issue then we should talk. Nancy Glass was Silas Wilsons second wife.
The first wife Mary Glass is where the son FF Wilson came from and he is the proven CSA soldier (and Union POW) in Butlers Cav.
So I have the military records on one of the four of them. Which brings us to this.....
I have most of the same information as you on the family....Years may be off by one or two but,
my additional info including the military comes from a book (that I do not own) titled,
"William Glass of Virginia and Kentucky and His Decendants of Scott and Owen Counties" by Zelma McCord McMurtry.
Silas married into the Glass family twice as you can see and the book mentions the military service of all four men by name but that is all. There were several documented land transactions within the second marriage but the death cert on John that shows his death in a confederate soldiers home may be turning out to be the best evidence of him as a soldier.
I don't know how to proceed.

Is there a way to verify any of the names you identified with the family above?

Thanks for your help.
