Greetings,
I am seeking information on the possible military service of my 2g uncle Richard Haddix (various spellings) 1838-1918. He was a strong Republican and had some conflict regarding the CW with his in-laws who were Democrats, many of whom served in the CSA. Not sure about whether Richard served, and if so what side. Richard lived and died on Gilmore Creek, Wolfe county.
