Chaplain of 6th Ky. Vol. Inf. U. S., was JAMES J. JOHNSTON: age 36, Henry Co., mustered in on Sept. 15, 1862 and resigned 9/24/63. He was a Methodist minister and brother of Capt. Isaac N. Johnston of Company H. His Civil War diary is at the Filson Historical Society in Louisville, Ky.
