Was there any COnfederate guerillas near Danville, Ky. I had an ancestor W. R. BOwman who enlisted in the 6th Ky. Cav CSA and was Awol in Feb 63. I believe he had a a war experience as his wife had a kid in 1860 and then another in 1867. What what he doing in between kids? Could he have been in another command?
