My Great Great Grandfather fought in civil war. According to research I have done he was with Ninth Kentucky Cavalry Company M. it looks like he got a pension. However, one site says he was mustered out and another dishonorable discharge. Could there be mistake, as I didn't think one could receive pension if dishonorably discharged? Further research showed he was at 2 different Homes for disabled volunteer soldiers. His name was Jesse D. Nichols. Some sites have middle intial as S. but is same person. Thanks for information on this. dg
