Would like to find out possibly what regiment John Gatton served in. He was born about 1844 Kentucky. Lived in Kansas sometime after the war and eventually moved to Texas. (1900 US census, Tarrant county, TX. shows he and his wife Mary (b. Kty) with children all listed as born in Kansas as early as 1873.)

His wife, Mary Catherine Gatton died in 1934 in the Confederate Women's Home in Austin, Texas in 1934.
