I am researching and writing a book on the operations of Morgan's cavalry in 1862. My intention is to describe each engagement. large and small. with as much detail as possible. At the present, I am concentrating on Tompkinsville. Any assistance with the subjects listed below will be greatly apprecaited.

1. Tompkinsville at the time of the battle: Population (1860 Census would be good), general description, tyoes of business, etc.

2. Map of Tompkinsville at the time of the battle: A simple sketch showing roads leading from town would help immensely.

3. Aside from the usual references: Accounts, reports, letters, etc. giving details on the battle.
