Can any of you give me some guidance in researching an individual from this unit? I have learned of a "J. Stover" that served with this unit, enlisting in April of 64 and wounded in MS in June of 64. I have obtained 4 pages of his militarty records. It is my understanding that this unit was comprised of men from Western KY and NW Tennessee. Since it is my understanding that our family was the only "Stover" family in the area at that time, I assume that he is related but I cannot find him in my family tree. Any suggestions on researching his decendants?
