The first meeting of the Fort Donelson Civil War Round Table will be held this Thursday night, August 18th, 2011 at the Stewart County Visitors Center in Dover, Tennessee at 7pm. This is on Highway 79 right across from the main entrance into Fort Donelson National Battlefield.

Our speaker will be Ranger Jimmy Jobe, Historian of Fort Donelson National Battlefield. Ranger Jobe will be discussing the Gunboat Operations of the Forts Henry and Donelson 1862 Campaign. A native of Stewart County Ranger Jobe will give unique insight to this often over looked aspect of the campaign.
