Exciting news from the Civil War Trust (CWT) pertaining to the Perryville battlefield. The CWT is raising funds to save 141 acres of critical land at Kentucky’s largest battleground. On this property (the Union I Corps right flank), the 3rd Ohio Infantry Regiment and the 15th Kentucky Infantry Regiment faced Confederate soldiers led by brigadier generals Bushrod Johnson, Daniel Adams, and Patrick Cleburne.
