There was another member of the Faulkner's Twelfth Kentucky Cavalry in Izard County after the war. He died at Newburg in 1907. At the time of Simmons' pension application in 1904 there were still lots of surviving members of the 12th scattered over Arkansas, plus many other members of Forrest's Kentucky Brigade, that the 12th was an important part of, living in Arkansas. I would say that your belief in him being a member of Company B of Faulkner's is correct, but you should check the UCV membership records for Izard County. I have added him to my records of the 12th.
