My new book, "Maney's Confederate Brigade at the Battle of Perryville," will be released tomorrow (March 25). Published by the History Press, this book examines George Earl Maney's brigade of Tennessee and Georgia soldiers, who were tasked with breaking the Union left flank at Perryville. These troops experienced some of the harshest fighting at Perryville, and several of Maney's regiments suffered nearly fifty percent casualties (including Sam Watkins' 1st Tennessee).
