Personally, I like the new location. It no longer gives "those people" in Louisville a reason to bitch about the Confederate monument, and let's face it - at that location in Louisville, the monument was very difficult to visit.

The new location is right above the river (let's hope it doesn't flood!), right at the foot of historic downtown Brandenburg, at one end of the riverfront park. Some folks don't like the location next to an apartment building, but I just tune that sort of thing out myself (the apartment building, that is - I just ignore it's there). From this location, one can look over the area where Gen. Morgan crossed the river into Indiana - it's a nice picturesque site.

I believe the monument is completely finished now - the two lower figures were installed the other day.
