Clarksville TN CWRT - July meeting

Hello,

The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 as we begin our fourteenth year! The meeting is held at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Tennova Hospital. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall. The meeting begins at 7:00 pm and is always open to the public.

Our speaker this month is Dr. Brian S. Wills, Civil War historian and author in a return engagement. His topic is - “A “Devil” Of A Situation: Forrest’s Attack on Fort Pillow.”

Dr. Wills is the director of the Civil War Center at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. He is an award winning Civil War author and historian with a number of books to his credit. One of his recent books is about this month's program - The River was Dyed with Blood: Nathan Bedford Forrest and Fort Pillow (Oklahoma, 2014).

We hope you can join us for this interesting meeting about one of the Civil War's most controversial events.
