James Dickson (or Dixon) McCollum

I am searching for information regarding James Dickson (or maybe Dixon) McCollum who served in the Confederate Army, 3rd Louisiana Cavalry, Company D. He was paroled in Alexandria, Louisiana, on 6/26/1865. He applied for a pension, but no pension was granted because the name appearing on the roll looked like I.D. McCollum instead of J.D. McCollum. He died before it was straightened out and is buried in Thompson Ferry Cemetery in Grant Parish (Pollock, LA) has has a C.S.A. tombstone. Any information would be appreciated. Jerome9024@aol.com
