5th La. Cav CSA - This unit was formed late in the war and did mostly picket and courier duty. Does anyone have any more information on them? Ref. William Erskins Pvt. captured at Bayou Gross Tete La Nov 16 1864. What units/ action was there on that date?? Any source of information?? Thanks Ken
