Besides the excellent works you mentioned, Edmonds also compiled and edited the work entitled "The Conduct of Federal Troops in Louisiana." This work basically transcribes two investigative reports compiled by Louisiana court judges. Louisiana Governor Henry W. Allen authorized many such investigations, but until Edmonds discovered two such reports in the attic of some south Louisiana parish courthouse, no record of them was known.
