Mr. Bergeron, the information I am seeking is for a Medal of Honor recipient, Pvt. Richard Chaddick, 7th Mississippi Infantry. I'm sure you are familiar with the cards contained in the soldiers service records that were sent out by the Adjutant & Inspector General's Office stating the named soldier was a recipient of the medal. I know nothing about why he was selected by his company (Murfreesboro). I believe I understand the whole Medal of Honor and Roll of Honor scenario thanks mainly to Gregg Clemmer's fine book, "Valor in Gray", which list the entire Honor Roll.

I was hoping some report of what he may have done would be contained in these records. Do you know if there is possibility of this? This man is my great-great-grandfather so I would love to check on this but feel I may be over my head on this one. Do you know of anybody that you would recommend to check these records for me? I would gladly pay for such a service. Do you think it more likely the information is lost?
