Don't you just wish we could change the subject title from "fort to Port"? I am researching the battle history and the members of the Seven Stars Artillery which originated in Copiah Co., MS. My GG Grandfather, Calvit Roberts, was the Captain of the battery. The 7 Stars were also at Port Hudson, prior to and during the siege. If anyone has any information about the 7 Stars they want to share, please contact me.
