Mr. Allardice,

In our research on locating graves of the 7th Mississippi infantry we have came to a bump in the road on Colonel Elias J. Goode.

Colonel Goode served for some time in the legislature from Mississippi and then seems to have moved north. Possibly to Iowa, Minnesota or even as far west as Texas and Arizona. There was also a Colonel E.J. Goode who commanded Virginia troops.

Do you have any information which may help us find where the Colonel may be buried or could tell us something about his career in the Confederate States armed forces.

Thanks in advance for your time and efforts.
