I'm using some information that was written by my great-grandmother, but it's really sketchy. According to her writings, Link Sikes (1844-1900) would be my great-great grandfather. Other than that, I know nothing about him. I was just curious as to if he may have served either Mississippi or Louisiana in the War for Southern Independence. I'm guessing that he lived in Mississippi because his granddaughter was born in Crystal Springs, Mississippi in 1901.

I know it's confusing. I apologize. That's basically what I could make out from the writing. Just a curious man looking for info, that's all. :)

I would appreciate any help.
