Mary Todd Lincoln had a cousin, Susan F. Carr, who had reportedly been married to a Gen. Hugh Dunlap "of Madison Parish, La." prior to 1863. Her first husband was a John Kerr of St. Louis, Dunlap was her second husband, and she married John Anderson Craig of Carroll County, Kentucky, prior to 1863. I have been unable to find any reference to a Gen. Dunlap in the Civil War indexes or anywhere else.
