Hi Mike, MY name is Robert Bonner, I'm a member of the Washington Artillery re-enactment org. we host a Civil War re-enactment at Fort Jackson in Buras, La. on Apirl 22,23, and 24. You could use this as a back drop to a story. Most of the forts are in private hands or belong to the Parish. I'm not real sure but Fort McComB in New Orleans East is for Lease by the State. For info or stories on the Forts I would get in touch with Memorial Hall (Confederate Museum) on Camp Street. I would ask for John Bangs or Glenn or Keith Cangelosi.
