Frank Lawley, b. 1845, d. 1913, is buried at Winnfield City Cemetery, as is Frank, Jr., b. 1886, d. 1906, as is Lizzie Huffman, Margaret E., and Marie Eliz.

If I am not correct, Hugh Simmons might be able to correct me, but I think these folks are the ancestors of Mrs. Della Lawley Forrest Mrs. Newton Forrest), a dear lady who still lives here in Winnfield, and Mrs. Jack Gaar, who died in a car wreck several years ago between Winn Parish and Bienville Parish. Mrs. Forrest has no offspring but her sister, Mrs. Gaar, had a son my age, Dr. Gregory Gordon Gaar. Mr. Jack Gaar still resides here. A good fellow as well. Mrs. Gaar's and Mrs. Forrest's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Lawley was an icon and pillar of our community, she died a few years ago and I'm sure is buried in the family plot.

I am pretty sure the Lawley family came to Winnfield from Bienville Parish. Can't recall how I know that, but think it's right.
