Re: Gen. Hugh Dunlap of Louisiana

Art,
Yes, I am still trying to find information on Dunlap's/Dunlop's Battalion Hvy. Arty. The information was contained in a "Comrade Statement" attached to a Confederate Widows Pension Application filed on 1/12/1920, now located at the La. State Archives. The pension info is as follows: Microfilm Reel: CP1.125 - Microdex 2 - Sequence: 13 - Target Card: Scriber, Annie (Tooley) - Parish: Caddo - Pages: 18.

The soldier I was researching was named James P. Scriber, my GG Grandfather's half-brother. He served with Co. H (Connor's) of the 1st Miss. Light Arty, and according to the statement of a member of Co. H that was still alive in 1920, they were detached to Dunlop's/Dunlap's Battn. Hvy. Arty at Grand Ecore, LA at the close of the war. The War Dept. could find no record of this Battn.
