I am also looking for info on the 4th Battalion. Only thing that I have is the 4th Batt saw duty throughout the war in the Southeast, participating in the Battle of Chickamauga and in action around Atlanta. John W Hooter died in a Civil War Prison Camp, Elmira, Chemung County, New York.
