I did my BTC and AIT at Tigerland, in 1967 just before I went to Vietnam. We were told that the name implied that you would have to have every bit of the cunning, and verosity of the tiger to make it through the training. That it was named for the SouthEast Tigers. However, the training was hell, but as for what they told us about the name, I can't swear to it.
