Richard Taylor makes only a passing mention of the "campaign" in NE Louisiana. He says that Walker's infantry division and three batteries(Texas units, I assume) arrived from Arkansas, and they, and Harrison's Horse, participated in that fighting. Taylor makes no specific mention of Lake Providence and refers to the skirimish as taking place at Young's Point. I assume that's Miliken's Bend.

In February, 1864, Taylor says that Harrison was alone in NE Louisiana with a four-gun battery. He doesn't give it's unit designation. Liddel had a battery attached to his unit, under the command of Cornay.

One could write volumes on the MISSING information from that war.
