I have a gggrandfather,William James Hickman, who died Nov 9, 1863 in the Silliman Institute during the Civil War. He served in Co. D, 53rd Tennessee Infantry, CSA. Is there a list of the soldiers who went thur the Institute in 1862 and 1863. Is there a local cementery(s) where these men were laid to rest. If so would there be a list of these soldiers. how do I go about getting these list.
