I have found a new bit of information. Joeseph O. Miller's wife, Delphine Fruge Miller, died 9 days after the birth of their daughter, Alida Miller, in 1849. Joseph's twin brother Pierre V. Miller and his wife took her to raise. Granny says they lived in Estherwood, LA. That explains why no pension application was found for his widow. I sure hope this gets me a little bit closer. I appreciate all the help I've been given.
