La soldier- Wm F. Grubbs-Bossier Parish

My G-G Grandfather was killed in the war. He is listed twice on the 1860 Bossier Parish Census, Orchard Grove Tsp. One as B. P? and the other as William I believe. His wife is Caroline, children Gilbert, Levi, Mary and others. According to Mary, he left to enlist and they all watched him walk down the road and disappear. I cannot find him listed on any roster for La soldiers. All of his brothers and family were in Miss units since they still lived in Miss. I can't find him with them. If anyone has this name on anylist please let me know. I have searched for his unit now for almost 20 years without success. During the war his daughter mary was kidnapped and taken away from her mother and siblings by a bushwhacker. Her job was to bring him food to his hideout. He informed her of the death of her father and that her mother died as well. Her siblings scattered with other families. One winter the man died and his wife would not take care of her. By 1870 she is married and living in Grant Co Ark with 2 of her brothers there working as laboreres on her in-laws farm. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Units from Bossier Parish etc.
