The only La. units present during the Atlanta Campaign were:

1. "C.H. Slocomb's Washington Louisiana Artillery Battery" of Cobb's Battalion under Major Robert Cobb.

2. 12th Louisiana Infantry Regiment.

3. "Alcide Bouanchaud's Pointe Coupee Louisiana Artillery Battery" of Myrick's Battalion under Major J.D. Myrick.

There were also several "Confederate" designated units, that were made up of companies from more than one state, however, none of these had a La. company as part of it.

Either your soldier served in one of the three La. units above, or he was in a unit attributed to another state.
