6th Louisiana Cavalry Regiment

My great grandfather, A. E. Wilson, joined the Caddo Light Horse Cavalry, here in Shreveport with W. B. Denson as Captain. According to the National Archives recordshe was paid $.40 a day for himself and horse. According to the Bergeron book, this became later co. A of the Sixth La Cavalry Regiment which was not formed until possibly 1864 or later. I am away from my notes, but I did read some war records which stated that W. B. Denson's cavalry fought in Arkansas. He was listed in Booth's records as also being on roll of prisoner of war. Does anyone know of any records of the Caddo Light Horse Cavalry and where they served between the beginning of the unit and when the 6th Louisiana Cavalry was formed. Thanking you in advance.
