The band is mentioned in "The Civil War Reminiscences of Major Silas T. Grisamore, C. S. A." (LSU Press, 1993), which I edited, on pages 179-80. This reference is to the band's existence in 1865 when Thomas' Brigade was stationed at Alexandria.
