Ok, a Texas boy needs a little help with a Louisiana place name. I was giving a Civil War talk the other night and mentioned the battle at Butte La Rose (which I pronounced BYOOT). I was informed after the talk by a former Louisiana resident that I was wrong and that it should have been "BOO-TAY" (accent on the TAY). Another Louisiana native told me that the guy who coorrected me was wrong and that BYOOT was right. Which is right and what do the locals say? Thanks.
