After the war, former Confederate General Dandridge McRae supposedly fled to "his former home" in Louisiana to avoid some legal trouble and then returned to Arkansas. Does anyone know where "his former home" in Louisiana might have been? I know he lived in Alabama and his parents were D.R.W. and Margaret McRae.
