Actually Hood was in the western theater once...at Chickamauga. However at that battle the 19th was on the other end of the field from Hood. They were in Hill's Corp,Breckenridges Division, Adam's Brigade.

In fact, I dont remember a Louisiana unit ever in Hood's Brigade. I thought it was Texas and Arkansas troops.
