i am interested in getting a headstone for my gggrandfather, pvt. john m. ritchie, company c. garlands battalion ms cav/ 14th confederate cavalry. he is buried in new hope baptist church cemetery in monticello, ms. i was told since he has a private headstone that i may not be able to get one. any advice? i understand that there are several types of markers.
