I have "Annals of the Amy of Tennessee" which includes the diary of W.J. Davidson, beginning with the entry of Dec 27, 1862.

Do you happen to know if his diary has any earlier entries?

I am gathering information on the exchanged POW units for the period of Sept-Dec, 1862.
