Virgil, Miles had other units under his command. They included the 9th LA Inf. Bn., several independent companies, and men from Samuel Bell Maxey's brigade who had been left behind when the brigade left for Jackson, MS. Maxey's Detachment, as it was called, included some Tennessee troops and some Texans. All of these units switched positions on Miles' lines from time to time. See his reports and correspondence in the O. R. Supplement put out by Broadfoot. Most likely the Tennessee troops would have been on GP property close to the detached redoubt held by some of Boone's Battery and close to the Citadel. I'm unaware of a map showing Confederate troop placement on Miles' lines.
