A professor studying the Army of Northern Virginia has contacted me to say he has seen a letter from a 1st Louisiana soldier claiming that during the 1862 Seven Days Campaign, they found the bodies of two men from the 5th Louisiana and one from the 10th Louisiana hanging from trees. I've never seen any reference to such a thing and was just wondering if anyone had any info on the incident.
