My GGrandfather Marion Self enlisted May 14, 1862 in Co. E
11th Battilion La. Troops.Served under J.H. Shelby,Many Louisiana.Papers say never paid & entry cancelled on all rolls.Many is in Sabine Parish.I cannot find anything else on him.Did he desert or go to the rebels or what? If anyone has any information on this please let me know.I have just found this web site.Thanks a lot.
