Corp. J.W. Scott, Washington Artillery

Searching for details about the life and military service of Corp. J.W. Scott, who enlisted as a private in the Fifth Company of the Washington Artillery. Promoted to corporal in 1864, he was wounded at Kennesaw Ridge, Georgia, on June 22, 1864. He was present at the unit's surrender at the end of the war. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
